Cow Tank diorama – German Tapia

A really amusing 1/72 diorama

Breguet XIV – Denny Hair

1/48 Aurora kit with home-made inkjet decals. After printing the decals Denny coated them with Rustoleum Crystal Clear to stop any ink bleed. The model represents the aircraft of Charles Codman of 96 Bomb Group – later in his military career he was aide-de-camp to General Patton.

Volkswagen Beetle – Chuck Betbeze

VW painted up in Italian Africa Corps markings. Chuck couldn’t remember which kit it was.

Ship Collection – Mark Vetter

1/700 collection – We believer that we have all these correct, and my apologies to Mark if we have mixed any of them up! From the bottom upwards, and left to right…

USS Stennis (Trumpeter) with aftermarket planes; USS Monterey, Ticonderoga class; USS Lassen (Dragon); USS Pinckney (DDG-91) Arleigh Burke-class destroyer; USS Independence – littoral combat ship with a 1/700 drone and MH-53 helicopter (Italeri).

T-6E Texan – Jaime Carreon

1/48 Monogram kit finished as “Moaning Lisa”, a forward air control aircraft from the Korean War.

RX78-01N Mobile Suit -Jaime Carreon

1/144 Bandai – “N” for North America and added a Babylon 5-style flag.

Tank Diorama-Luke Easter

1/35 Tiger and Bergepanther – Luke had brought an older diorama with him showing where the rock sections had been used extremely effectively as a rock face for the waterfall area.

David Hogue’s Sicily, Italy diorama with a 1/35 Bronco Bofors gun and crew.

The crew were cobbled together from different sets ranging from Tamiya figures from the 70s and Bronco figures from the preset. David performed some major amputations and surgeries mixing and matching different arms, legs and torsos to fit the crew to the gun. The diorama base includes some small scrub/bushes which added to the scene.

D-21B Drone – Brandon Edwards

1/48 Eagle’s Talon vacform kit for the vehicle, and the trolley from the 1/48 Testors U-2 kit with magnets used to sit the drone into the trolley. First vacuform for Brandon, he added sewing needles for the nose spike and the pitots and painted the drone in Mr. Surfacer black primer with some grey highlights.

Israeli Merkava III – Mike Stucker

1/72 kit by Hobby Boss.

BMD-2 Airborne IFV – Mike Stucker

1/35 Panda Hobby kit for this Soviet Airborne Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Mike reported this had poor individual plastic track links which he replaced with Sector 35 metal track that came already assembled. Neat! Panda was the armour arm of Kitty Hawk, so is also not with us any longer.

Douglas C-47 – Jaime Carreon

1/48 Monogram kit built as N102BL – an aircraft Jaime worked on and dinged an elevator with his pickup truck! The elevator needed replacing. He managed to salvage the data plate when the plane was being scrapped. His model is displayed here in DHL livery and the prototype can be seen in the movie “Lone Wolf McQuade”!

North American P-51D – Boyd Waechter

1/48 Airfix kit with Kits World decals depicting “El Diablo” – some striking nose art. Boyd liked the kit although he had to spend quite some time polishing the somewhat pebbly surface until it was satisfactory enough to receive a metal finish.

3cm Flakvierling – Vince Barrale

1/35 Das Werk kit – and this looks to be their own original kit with scalemates.com noting it to be a new mold released in 2019.

Figure – Vince Barrale

1/35 resin figure and resin base (plus Tropicana orange juice cap!) Vince found the figure on AliExpress.com – depicting a post-apocalyptic scene. Be careful on AliExpress.com – you can spend a lot of time there falling down different rabbit holes! A wide range of modelling products.
